The Briars is a resort outside Jackson's Point on Lake Simcoe, Ontario, Canada. It is straight north of Markham, ON on Ontario Highway 48, or about a 45 minute drive north of Toronto's Highway 407 and Highway 404. The property was named by its first owner around 1840. He named it after the property of a friend in St. Helena, the place to which Napoleon was exiled. The name continues with this resort and the Golf Club residing on the land.

At The Briars, you can stay in cottages (by the lake or the golf course) or rooms at the Inn (overlooking gardens and the lake). The cottages are relaxed in style and provide extra privacy. Rooms at the Inn are cozy and are closer to year-round action.
There is much variety! At the Inn we have premium and deluxe rooms, rooms with fireplaces, the suite, and six heritage rooms in the original Manor House furnished with antiques.
Some lodges work especially well for social groups and small conferences, providing a living room as a private central meeting place. Mayfair has ten guestrooms, First Tee has seven and Rineen has four guestrooms plus a porch looking over the lake.
