Immediately north of Greater Toronto and easily accessible to it via modern highways and a commuter rail and motor coach network is the Barrie Simcoe Tourism Region. This region includes the cities of Barrie and Orillia, Lake Simcoe and the surrounding lakes, countryside and forests. Immediately to the north, is the Muskoka Tourism Region and access to Northern Ontario through North Bay and Sudbury. |
