The Eastern Ontario Tourism Region includes all of the upper Ottawa River Valley, Renfrew, Pembroke, Petawawa, Chalk River to North Bay - the Gateway to Northen Ontario. Also included in the region is Algonquin Provincial Park and the boreal forests to the south and east from Bancroft to Madoc to Smiths Falls and Carleton Place. The farms and forests to the further east and wedged between Ottawa - Gatineau to the north and Kingston - Thousand Island to the South round out the Eastern Ontario offering. The region is dotted with small lakes, farms and villages for that quiet peaceful vacation at a cozy B&B or inn. |
